F.A.Q. – ATCE Course – Part 1

F.A.Q. – ATCE Course – Part 1

January 31, 2017

How much does the course cost?
All courses cost £95 per participant. This includes a comprehensive set of course notes for each participant.

Do I need experience of Tai Chi?
No, previous experience is not required for the course.

Are refreshments provided?
Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided. Participants should bring their own lunch.

Can places be reserved without payment?
Places cannot be reserved without payment. I try to keep the cost of courses as low as possible and if payment is not made in advance it is frequently very difficult and time consuming to obtain payment from employers afterwards. Also, if reserved places are not taken it is unfair to applicants who were unable to get a place.

How do I get to the course location?
When you book online you will automatically receive confirmation of your place by email and the details will include a web link to the course location.

Can other people attend the course?
The course is advertised principally for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Assistants, Technical Instructors, Exercise Instructors and students. Complementary Therapists, Tai Chi and Qigong instructors working in the health field are also very welcome to attend.

Will I be able to use the exercises immediately?
After the course you should be capable and confident enough to use relevant exercises with individuals or small groups of clients.

Will I receive a certificate after the course?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of attendance for attending the course.

Will I be insured to teach Adapted Tai Chi Exercises?
Adapted Tai Chi Exercises is an exercise-based activity like Pilates and yoga that physiotherapists and other health professionals can use in their practice. Further detailed advice on insurance can be obtained from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or your professional association.

What should I wear?
It is recommended that you wear loose comfortable clothing and low-heeled shoes. Although I always try
to ensure the halls are warm it is advisable to bring a sweater.
